In 2021, CJPOL Director, Dr. Leah Butler, received a FIRST Award from Nebraska's Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). The FIRST Award provides funding for early-career tenure-track faculty in Nebraska to compete for CAREER grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
As part of the Award activities, Dr. Butler will conduct multiple national surveys that will serve as the basis for launching the CJPOL. Using the data collected, Dr. Butler will be applying for the NSF CAREER grant, which, if funded, would provide longer-term funding for CJPOL research.
